学生签证境内重大好消息

继2014年1月14日移民局掀起的学生签证条款8516 风暴后，很多人收到移民局的邮件被通知违反学生签证条例，将面对签证被取消的风险。诸多学生被要求14天内向移民局递交解释信甚至面试。境内很多违规学生出现慌乱现象，四处找中介“求医”。

今天早上麦尔肯接到有关通知，移民局在经过慎重讨论和考虑后，决定将不对在2014年1月14日之前转学的学生采取任何措施了，这主要是针对持有SVP 大学入境读书，没有完成既定的学业前因为各种原因转去非SVP的学校读同一类别的课程，例如：拿着SVP大学MONASH大学本科COE来澳洲，读了半个学期甚至不到半个学期就转去XXXXX COLLEGE或者这样的学校继续读本科类似课程。

需要注意的是，麦尔肯顾问在咨询过程中发现很多学生持有573签证，在读572 TAFE类别的课程，这样是错误的，像这样的学生，迟早会被移民局以违反学生签证条例处理，甚至取消签证.

移民局说法如下：

“We are keen toprovide as much certainty to affected students as possible. With this in mindand following consideration of the information provided by students and otherstakeholders, we have decided that we will not take any further action againststudents who meet the following characteristics:

·Transferred from a SVP eligiblesubclass 573 course to a non-SVP eligible 573 course prior to thelaunch of the 14 January 2014 education campaign (e.g. from a bachelor degreecourse at a university to a bachelor degree course at a non-universityprovider); and

·Continue to meet all other requirementsand conditions of their visa

We will writeto students who meet these characteristics on an individual basis to advisethat they will not be subject to cancellation as a result of their coursetransfer.”
